Thats interesting I never knew it was called that. Other cultures allow it in the workplace as they recognise its benefits. I think its the Japanese that actively encourage it due to their long working hours culture. They have sleep pods in offices for that very purpose. Britain is behind on the thinking so you have to sneak off to do when no one is watching. It is frowned upon. Its considered rather wimpy to show you are tired. I was fortunate at work to have access to a spare room with my own key. Bliss. ZZzzzz

RE: Increasing Cash Flow….?

Hello Daddy Landlord

If you want to self manage I've found a way to advertise on all the main letting portals free. If you need full management I've sourced this through an ARLA agent at a cost of £14.99 to £34.99 pcm depending on what level of service is required.

Details HERE.

Hope you and others find this useful.

RE: Increasing Cash Flow….?

Hello!

Its been a while since i posted on here and I would just like to say that I took Jonathans Advice and I bought a cheap 2 up 2 down terraced house for 45k. I have renovated and have spend about 4k in the process and a tenant is ready to move in on the 8th Jan for £420p/m!

Looking ok so far. However, in sixth months time I would like to remortage this house (as i have paid cash for this house - borrowed half of the cash from in laws).

The houses in this area at this moment in time would sell for around 60k but I have been told recently that if i remortgage this house then the valuer will only value it at the price that I paid.

Is this true? I got this house quite cheap and there are two other houses up for sale on the same street for 65k.

What are your thoughts? What are my chances of recycling my cash?

Look forward to your replies!

RE: Increasing Cash Flow….?

Congratulations on your purchase with tenant lined up!

The topic of re-cycling cash was discussed >> here very recently.

I think that if you have added value, and can prove that with photos and receipts, that you have a reasonable chance of getting it valued at the OMV price.
