RE: Jonathan Clarke

Jonathan has helped me build a (small but growing) buy to let portfolio, he has offered me advice on the types of property I should be buying and the potential pitfalls, he's given me access to all his trusted tradesmen and is even managing one of my properties for me. I would not be in the position I am currently in without him (and property tribes for that matter).

It is so refreshing to have advice from someone like Jonathan as so many people in the property business are 'selling the dream' and selling it for a high price!

RE: Jonathan Clarke

.
JC.. he's the man! It's always a pleasure to read his financial missives and I can fully understand why so many people draw inspiration from them. I do sometimes get just a tad concerned for newbies though, as when Jon's got his "it's a no-brainer" cap on, I can almost sense peoples eyes glazing over as they go into follower-mode and sometimes in the process throw all/any caution to the wind!

I just read your spotlight again Jonathan and it is a bloody great read (thanks). I note you mentioned your background was from counselling etc but for some reason something else was telling me you were an ex copper? Let me know if I've got that bit wrong so that I can (metaphorically speaking?) take my right foot off your neck! Wink

RE: Jonathan Clarke

@ Mark Whitburn

Thank you for joining the conversation and sharing your experiences of how JC has helped you.

I don't think you could have a better tutor!

It's lovely to hear a success story from someone with their feet on the ground. It shows the power of having a mentor who is doing what you want to achieve, not teaching what you want to achieve.

I think there is a massive difference, and your experience with Jonathan is a testament to that and a far more authentic representation of working with a mentor and building your portfolio in a profitable and sustainable manner.

Thank you again for commenting and please do contribute more about your property journey. Smile

What I also like about this thread is the number of comments from people who don't often comment, if at all.

It confirms just how much Property Tribes is being used as a learning resource. This post has been viewed 533 times in less than 48 hours so I think JC has more fans than just the people who have been kind enough to comment. Smile

RE: Jonathan Clarke

One of the best aspects of online forums is the ability to recognise and applaud genuine, honest, helpful people.

RE: Jonathan Clarke

I’ll add my hat to the ring as well. Jonathan’s posts always contain good content and often a welcome dose of much needed humour. Keep up the good work JC.

RE: Jonathan Clarke

I've never met Jonathan in person but when I emailed him last year for advice on a potential purchase for LHA tenants, he went into great detail and made some really interesting points. He told me about his stomping grounds in MK and also offered to show me around.

I contacted Jonathan directly because like others, I always enjoy reading his posts which are both interesting and informative.

I think PT is great because there are lots of people with specialist knowledge who share this for free, Kevin Wright is another who springs to mind.

If they ever have mayoral elections for MK, I would vote Jonathan Clarke.
Take a bow JC, you deserve it.

Cliff

RE: Jonathan Clarke

I have been chatting to JC via email and he occasionally takes people around MK, showing them houses and sharing his insights & strategies.

I have suggested that he put on an "open day" type event for PT members and we will come along too and film it to capture JC's pearls of wisdom on camera.

Would you be interested in attending such an event?

If so, please PM JC so that he can get an idea of numbers. Smile
