5 year electrical checks to become mandatory

I think most professional landlords should  be ahead of this  topic

a few years ago I realised this would happen and I started to arrange rewire  ect when I have a voids I take the  opportunity to have the wireimg looked at and I instal a new consumer box this allows me to get an electric safety cert  job done

you just need to schedule this into your management tasks

it’s all tax deductible and it makes a property safe

just get on with it just as we have Done for Cp12’s

Just got my first EICR this morning.. It is for my commercial property. I am not certain that I am responsible for the electrics there, but I had it done for two reasons:

    1. To cover myself if there were a problem
    2. To hopefully reduce the insurabce cost.

Part of the property is acceptable.  In the otherr the consumer unit is inadequate

    More pointless, useless red tape

This govt has completely reneged on its so-called promise to reduce red tape and have become, by far, the worst of a very bad bunch.

This is more lazy ''action' by 'officials' who want to justify their otherwise pointless positions on the public payroll
