Anyone fancy a short lease London house?

This was an interesting opportunity so I watched the auction live online to see what happened. The bidding started at £165K with rapid bids to £182k, then it picked up again to £190k, but with no further bids the property was unsold.

Can't say I'm surprised it didn't sell. Talk about a can of worms, nay, nest of vipers for a new owner!

I had a very quick look now at the auction documents (still on the auction site).

The owner instructed and obtained a valuation from his surveyor for a 90y lease extension etc in 2015, at £ 2.5 Mio.

also it seems there is a head lease (this bein an under lease

), with head lease 7 days longer then under lease (the one for sale).

This had complexity I guess, to a complex situation.
