    Are you preparing for "Corbygeddon"?

Yes  I agree they wouldn't get 100% of what they wanted - maybe just 90%

And i dont see that as an unwelcomed outcome

If a family of 5 want a day out  they look at possibilities

3 may want the beach 2 may want the shops .

A fair compromise is 3hrs on the beach and 2hrs at the shops

All 5 get a bit of what they want rather than 3 dictating the sole activity

We as families accept we are all different and we  learn to negotiate, compromise and share

Politicians struggle to mirror those basic life skills due to egos and a culture within

But if I'm negotiating and compromising with my family, it's because I love and respect them.

Where I wouldn't be able to compromise is with an IRA supporting, anti-semetic, anti-British Marxist like Jeremy Corbyn and I wouldn't be able to vote for any party willing to sell out their principles by compromising with his Momentum thugs.

Let's not forget Neville Chamberlain tried to negotiate and compromise with a certain regime in the 1930s and we all know how that panned out.

And herein lies the problem with people getting so entrenched in their respective positions

I`m glad you love and respect your family

42% of marriages though end in divorce .

They will often go to family mediation to negotiate, compromise and share the spoils

Its a proportional representation share out not winner takes it all

This is where we differ, I don't see people standing by their principles and beliefs as a problem, in fact I'd respect them more if they did.

Standing by ones principles and beliefs is yes kind of admirable

But only if one knows exactly what ones chosen parties  principles and beliefs really are

Take manifestos . How many 1000`s of people vote not having actually read a single paragraph

Its not sensible  in my view to think one party has all the answers

And its not a crime to change ones mind on hearing compelling evidence.

Belief and principles can often legitimately  change and evolve throughout one s life

Intransigence  is an unsavoury quality I`ve always thought

In the spirit of negotiation and compromise, I'll agree to disagree with you !!! (Otherwise we could bang on for hours on this one!)

I have never liked list systems as used in the MEP elections. It gives too much control to party officials,. It hasn't bothered me too much before as my favoured candidate was top of the list. This time though the top of the conservative list is a remainer. I could support the second on the list )a Brexiteer) but can't directly vote for hiim. So I am considering not voting for the Conservatives for the first time ever. I will likely vote for the Brexit party list.

The Greens have some very left wing and daft ideas. I think many people who vote for them do so because of the environmental gloss without really studying the left wing socialism. Also in the safe knowlegde that they won't get power anyway.

I think the past few years proves its not for purpose

I often think no I will not vote

Then I think of the women who won the vote

So personalty I vote But I think there should be a Box to tick to say I dont want any of the above because they are Crap
