    Hi mate,

Curious to know which areas in Sunderland and Newcastle are decent for BTL properties that target either young families or working professionals?

I'm from Sunderland personally and the area I am familiar with and grew up in (Doxford, Ryhope, Silksworth etc.) doesn't seem to be too good for BTL in general.

South side of the water seems to be really slim pickings for decent areas, a friend of mine is doing okay in the Pallion/Millfield area but has had trouble with tenants as the demographic tends to be towards the lower end of the market.

I don't know Newcastle too well but am wondering whether there might be better areas to invest in there?
