Harefield Place Launch Event

With just under a month to go until the completion date of the 26th of July, there are only a few bits and pieces that still need doing. At this point, it is largely superficial finishing touches, such as:

• Finalising the finishes around light switches and plug sockets
• Painting and decorating
• Fitting in flooring
• Interior design

It’s been a long-awaited milestone for those of us working on restoring this beautiful building, and we’re eagerly waiting for the moment the doors open for the first time, and people can finally step into the home we initially envisioned over a year ago. 

Over the years, this handsome building has sadly been neglected, only serving as a functional, corporate space rather than the aesthetically pleasing residence it was originally intended to be. Our restoration hasn’t been without its challenges (who could forget the costly newt fences we had to put up after we found one on the grounds!), but it has been worthwhile to see its transformation. After ripping up the linoleum, and repainting the hideously bright turquoise and orange walls a softer shade of grey, this empty shell of a building is becoming homely with each passing day.
