    ALSO...The Deregulation Act 2015 & Monetary/rent arrears claims - Gareth Archer

The Deregulation Act 2015  introduced a raft of changes for the private rented sector to tackle. In an already confused sector, the new requirements were implemented with little by way of announcement to landlords and their agents and mistakes continue to be commonplace as a result. This is particularly the case with possession notices and tenancy deposit issues. The course will allow lawyers and property professionals to understand the obligations to be met by landlords and agents and how the mistakes can be avoided in seeking possession of residential premises.

At this month's pin meeting, Gareth will cover during his presentation:

    •  New Section 8 and Section 21 Notice requirements to serve a valid possession notice
    •  Retaliatory Eviction
    •  Tenancy Deposits regulations - the latest position and how to deal with breaches
    •  Immigration Act and how to undertake Right to Rent checks
    •  Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm Regulations
    •  The different methods of enforcement of a debt; tracing the debtor; bailiffs; costs issues and charging orders.
