Co-Living Spaces – Using design thinking to create the next generation of urban shared living - Stuart Scott

Stuart is a multi award winning property developer, serial entrepreneur and speaker. Stuart won the highly prestigious '2018 UK Property Investor of the Year' and '2018 HMO deal of the year' for his work to pioneer change in the HMO market. He has built and sold a number of successful businesses including a digital marketing agency and a product design company. He has designed experiences for brands such as Porsche, Microsoft, GAP, Nike, Aardman, Tom Dixon and Penguin Random House. He now uses his skills alongside property development to create unique spaces that set new standards for urban living. He is a regular on the public speaking circuit where he educates people on design, disruption and innovation within the property sector.

    Professional Co-Living

The HMO world is going through an evolution into a new type of customer focused product. Stuart had spotted an opportunity to disrupt the HMO market and re-imagine shared living for working professionals. His design-led approach provides unique spaces for people to live, work and play. The Co-Living Spaces experience combines; community, inspired social spaces, smart technology, enhanced facilities and snug bedrooms.

Transferring Design Thinking to Serviced Accommodation

Serviced accommodation is the hot strategy at the moment. With future legislation in mind Stuart and his business partner Carly Houston transferred the same ‘design thinking’ principles to create a chain of self service Smart Boutique Hotels in Brighton with a focus on great design, comfort and technology.

During Stuart's presentation you will learn:

    • How the HMO market is changing
    • How to create a unique product on market
    • How to become customer focused
    • The future of the HMO
    • How to transfer innovation to other markets

Stuart will demonstrate that it is possible to disrupt the market and create something unique no matter what the size of your project. The aim of the talk is to get you to think differently about the product you create and the customers you sell to.

ALSO... Asset protection made easy - Right Plan Insurance

At this month's pin meeting, one of Right Plan's advisors will teach you about some of their industry’s best kept secrets. Options that could save you up to 49% on life insurance by simply taking advantage of HMRC-endorsed plans that are rarely spoken about or advertised.

During their presentation they will demonstrate how specific insurance policies and trusts benefit you and your family, by minimising inheritance tax (IHT) and maximising your legacy.

With only 6% of all life policies ever sold being written into trust, the mere absence of this document has heavily contributed to the £5.2 billion paid in IHT during 2017/18. They will explain how easy it really is to set up a trust so more goes to your family.

You’ve worked hard to build your portfolio and build a legacy, so make sure it’s passed on to those you choose, and they will show you how!

Covered In the presentation will be:

    • The Importance of writing policies into trusts.
    • How to minimise your inheritance tax from insurance pay-outs.
    • HMRC indorsed and tax efficient options many people are unaware of.
