Just googled David France. A truly remarkable entrepreneur. Sounds dead easy. Think I might give it a try.
I googled David France and there was very little about him, which is perplexing. His LinkedIn profile does not even have a company name. However, rather like his associate Ben Rogers, he does like to make dubious financial promotions offering an unusually high rate of return:**Fancy making 10% on your savings (secured against property)**Can I ask you a question? Is your money working hard for you or is it making a measly few% in the bank every year? Why not partner up with us and sit back and let us do the work. What interest can we pay? I don’t know David France, so this isn’t related to him or this post, but I watched ‘The man who would be polka king’ on Netflix this week and found it fascinating,There are similarities between the subject of the documentary and a lot of property gurus, putting forward a persona of success and offering high interest rates (12%) for investing in his companies. It was effectively a pyramid scheme and he was a fantastic sales person apparently loved by those who met him, came across as very genuine.I think it is well worth watching for anyone even remotely considering investing with someone else purely to see what can potentially go wrong, and to go in with eyes wide open.
thanks for the recommendation for the film. I'm not sure what triggered it but all of a sudden my facebook is completely flooded with ads for property gurus, investment gurus etc... I attended a free event a few weeks ago about investing and as I expected there was a hard sell at the end.I didn't feel pressured to buy something but found it very interesting and concerning to see how many people felt that they needed to invest in a 'mentoring scheme'. Listening to free webinars recently I've noticed a lot of similar techniques between all of these 'sales people' and find there way of talking and presenting very unnatural.Definitely looking forward to watching the film to learn more.
In view of your comments above, I am sure you will find this thread interesting:Buying property with none of your own money
Thanks Vanessa I'll take a look.
Just watched that on your recommendation ‘The man who would be polka king’, you should watch Fyre Festival on Netflix and Fyre Fraud on Hula, the festival that never was, shows specifically the role in which social media and influencers contributed to both its rise and fall. Billy McFarland its organiser is currently in jail on Fraud charges.
I watched that one with disbelief! How so many people were duped by the Fyre festival is incredible, it reinforced one of my life mantras "Never underestimate the stupidity of a crowd," once a few big names were involved everyone assumed it was going to be great.
Make sure you track down the Fyre Fraud Hula Documentary as the story is told from a slightly different perspective with interviews from Billy McFarland.
I can tell you that David France charges £9000 for mentoring, who knows if what he offers is proven. All I know is that is a substantial sum to a lot of people, out of there reach unless taking big loans or refinancing their home. The video sell is the hook line & sinker then bam, they hit you with the big money pitch.
Tom Wade Testimonial from 2015 he must be legit ;-) Note Ben Rogers FB Messenger Web online to the right.....
