I get the impression that the programme is all about him (he and his wife need to find £25K [https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-46525700]) but it's being spun as "cashing in"). It should hopefully be quickly obvious that he is in no way representative of the vast majority of decent honest landlords!
I don't watch much telly but I think I'll tolerate the BBC bias for this one, it should be great entertainment.
Of course its going to be negative its about a landlord. Hell even prince harry said hes gonna kick our butts.
Fergus doesn't do himself any favours with his appearence also. He needs to get in shape. He looks like he could be a villain in a James bond movie. Unfortunately this is how most people will view landlords. Fat overweight rich guys with tonnes of money who sit in chairs stroking white cats while smoking cigars.
" Fat overweight rich guys with tonnes of money who sit in chairs stroking white cats while smoking cigars".....whilst getting ready to press the EJECT (from property) button over the slightest problem!
I will wait to see Vanessas review of this programme before I decide if I'm going to invest X minutes of my life on what unfortunately I think is a done deal before it even airs.
Sham-o-rama + Wilson = nightmare for the PRS. There's pressure few good-news Panoramas and I don't expect this to buck that trend.
Tonight’s episode of BBC "Panorama" will focus on Fergus Wilson who is currently in the process of selling his entire portfolio of around 300 residential properties. The show will examine the impact of his decision of tenants.Full/source article

Panorama claims he used to have 1,000 houses.
Now says he's got 300 houses. It keeps calling him a millionaire, but I believe that just as much as I believe Samuel Leeds is a millionaire
The story is about him selling that 300, "making people homeless".
What about the other 700? Apparently, he's already made more than DOUBLE that number "homeless" by selling the previous 700 houses?
Why don't Panorama do a programme focussing on how S.24 has meant that many hundreds of landlords can no longer afford to provide housing for their tenants?
The programme has now aired and is documented here:BBC "Panorama" - Fergus Wilson - synopsisThis thread is now therefore closed, and all those interested are asked to continue commenting on the above thread.

The main thing that struck me during the program was the quality of the housing. Fergus may be controversial, but he certainly isn't a slum landlord.
