Help! Builder Required to do Major Repairs to 3b House in Northants

    Hi Sam
Thank you. I did ask the letting agency at the beginning but as this job was major she was not that confident about recommending them so I had to go down another avenue and have found a very good builder.

    Hi Valton
Thank you. My builder is doing a good job and keeps me fully informed. He has made some recommendations and has provided a breakdown of costs.

Hi CrystalI would suggest that you ask for a breakdown of costs. Having an itemised quotation gives you more control of the overall project. For example, where they may be extra unforseen work you will have something to compare additional costs to. Equally, if there are items of work that are not carried out you are in a position to agree the level of saving that there should be.As mentioned by Vanessa, a good indicator is a contractor that does not mind being asked questions.Valton
