  • Property Yields

High yield strategy - invest North or South?

The nature of a recession is all assets prices get hit, and those leveraged the most get hit the most. Ie those with lots of house up north because they were cheaper to buy than down south will suffer the most.

Those on low wages will feel the pinch and they are the ones renting properties. As said before rent arrears are increasing by the day.

Yes i have a biased opinion as an investor/builder/letting agents based on the outskirts of Manchester. Great possibilities of continued growth because of the close proximity to the ever expanding city center. There are many new leisure facilities in Manchester that need staff. These staff normally live in the more affordable suburbs with good transport links (normally within 10/15 minutes). There are many in part time positions which means they claim some benefits. The yields are around 8% and rents are increasing. 50% of our tenants have been in the same property for 4 years or more.

As a ARLA registered agent with a full maintenance team to hand you can get as involved with the management as you want or leave it to us giving you a hands free investment.

If anyone wants more information about North and East Manchester we are more than happy to chat
