    Interest only mortgage in retirement

I think the answer would be No

The age of directors would have no bearing

when you think about it when a pesoanal Landlord passes the Loans have to be repaid as part of the estate

when a director passes it will have little effect on the company loans

This is a good thing for older landlords and succession planning

I think I would ask the question do you want to be a landlord when you are 80?  If the answer is no then there needs to be a plan for mortgages to be repaid at some stage.

If the answer is yes, why?

Typo work pension will not be enough, it is projected to be 8k at 60 with another 10k at 67!

Pension companiy projections are generally unrealistically low.

It depends on your plans after age 55 and if you see yourself as always being a landlord or at some stage selling the BTLs and doing something else with your time.  If you plan on selling then you need to consider how you will repay any mortgage and the CGT due and if the money remaining is sufficient for what you want to do.
