    Landlords "lucky to get 2.5% yields" ...

    If you were making just up to the 40% out of property alone, then giving up a job would effectively take the whole salary out of 40%.  That would be £18000 tax saving.  Then the NI saving.  Then there is the whole s24 thing on top.  I can't get to the 30k, but it would be more than 11k.
