I don't wish to disclose who I am as it can easily identify which firm I work for. Like badbobby said, I do not have the authority to disclose the internal research I have posted or comment on behalf of the firm. Also, I am not looking for any credibility, earn brownie points or trying to pick up any new business.
We have done significant research into this matter and it is our opinion such arrangements do not work. That's just our opinion which may be wrong (large firms do get it wrong sometimes), and Tony's firm has genuinely found a 'loophole' or 'IP' has it puts it that everyone else has missed. If such 'IP' existed, we'd be all over it, charging clients excessive amounts to put in place.. and as a landlord myself, would have set it up years ago.
In other words, you're disseminating unsubstantiated/attributable information and expect everyone to believe it.
As to the Big 4 etc being the font of all knowledge, its was one of their number who tried to scam NI by using mixed partnerships and thus nearly queered the pitch for everyone else in the process.

Meanwhile, I believe that it was the Bishop of Baltimore who said to His Holiness the Pope, that if one claims to be infallible, then it's best not to make any mistakes!

Why did you say that DL? He's not looking for work, as he's made abundantly clear. He's adding to the discussion with some authentic input.
PT is here for bussiness and I know if any was offering a service I would contact them and ask there advice
I don’t sell a thing but folk have contacted me for a view or advice
I would imagin some mortgage brokers have got bussinss for PT without our asking for it
it’s just the nature of bussinss today if we stopped useing others brains or services we may as well all switch off and do something else ?
I watch this with great interest from what I can see it comes down to an opinion
by the time we see if there was a challenge I will have completed my landlord shuffle
i know it’s cost me but either options would have cost me fees
i preferred a very straight sell and buy back
others will take another route
i know all I want is to sleep well and not fear a knock on my door
if HMRC do challenge a schemes, it will not be pleasant place to be for the landlord!
