    My thoughts as 3rd stage of S24 approaches

    Whoever said anything about an annuity? My pension is in a SIPP so I can even invest it in Commercial property if I want.  I have to understand pensions as my entire strategy is bound up in them. My pension is in capped drawdown so I have to be especially careful not to draw more than the cap as it would be a disaster if I triggered flexi access and was unable to resume paying in.

    an investor doesn’t have to take an annuity now

    a pension has a lot of advantages one being very good to help with IHT planning

    I only intend to with draw the tax fee element from my pension and the rest will  go to my son or maybe my grandchildren

    pension freedom is very helpful in lots of ways 

    we all get old and if a landlord has a good pension it gives an opportunity to pass down property as long as landlord lives 7 years

    it’s all about planning and pensions are a good planning tool
