New Property Investor Toolkit book - FREE for a wee --while

I sought & received permission to post this...

I have just launched my new book on Amazon: Property Investor Toolkit

I am running a promotion where it will be completely free to buy for 3 days only (10-12 March). Jayne Owen kindly said it was worth paying the previously modest sticker price and so I imagine that getting it for free for a while may please some Smile

I would be delighted if you would get yourself a free copy, humbled to receive a review but most of all thoroughly satisfied if you enjoy it and take at least one thing away from reading it.

Unlike my usual writing, it is punchy and to the point...or at least that's what others have said lol

Enough said, here is where you will find it on Amazon

Thanks very much for getting behind this project.

It is a very generous offer Richard, thank you.

Once I've read it I'll definitely post a review on Amazon, it's the very least I could do.

Weirdly it will only let you get it for a Kindle App on some other device or a Kindle Fire, not for the basic Kindle itself.

Interesting, I wonder if that's because there are lots of colour-rich graphics included within it? Hard yo say for sure but I hope you managed to get it one way or another.

I think it's a page size thing as my wife can view it on her iPad kindle app and each page has to be scrolled vertically and horizontally to read the content the graphics sort of get in the way of the text.

It's going to be a struggle for me to read it as it stands, I only have a paperwhite kindle and Amazon won't allow the book to be delivered to it and my wife is glued (sometimes I think physically) to her iPad.

There must be a guru you know who can reformat it for you Richard otherwise a significant portion of your would be readers are going to be thwarted and a tad miffed if they buy it and can't read it.

    Thanks for the feedback here.

The optimum size to read the book is an equivalent PDF file and to a large extent that was intentional, as it is quite graphically-rich. I am looking at a copy on my iPhone (a small device obviously) and it looks good, although I accept the screen size needs adjusting to see in the best way.

Anyone that buys the book can drop me a note and get the PDF format for free anyway as part of the book bonuses, so that should help. But essentially, the format by design as a toolkit has a text book feel to it and so that does lend itself to a larger display. I have not seen any issues with graphics overriding text however?

I appreciate some might feel it's a bit a hassle but I did check other Kindle acceptable formats and they really did not look good at all trust me.

I am planning on releasing a print version given the response, so that may also help for those that prefer to read it that way.

    Thanks again

    Richard

PS - the free offer closes at midnight PST, which is 7am on Friday in the UK...

Have sent you an email Richard, thank you for explaining the available remedy.

Please do give some thought to providing a Kindle friendly device version as I'd rather be discussing the content rather than the format. Smile

I'm late to this thread and hope that by now the book is selling well! I read it on a Kindle reader downloaded to the laptop, and having checked, agree a version for the basic Kindle would be good - though chances are this has also been sorted by now!

    Thanks for the feedback Jayne.

What I can tell you is that I am currently working on a print version - that will be available shortly and that's my current priority.

The 'print replica' format that has been released works on all Kindle apps and more recent versions of the Kindle Reader too (post 2012). So, that's a large area of coverage for what is positioned as a 'toolkit' or a book with more of a 'textbook' feel to it.

I do have a .mobi file format in my possession, which would sit on the basic, older Kindle Reader but I am not happy with how it looks as it compromises so much of the reader experience. That all said, if this really is a problem for people in significant enough numbers then I would be happy to consider a revised version. However, Kindle do have some restrictions around the same book in different formats and that needs to be taken into consideration too.

Most of the feedback i have received to date has been positive and supportive and hundreds of copies have been shifted; so it is hard to judge how big an issue we are talking about here based on the odd comment? However, being the kind of person that I am, I will always listen to feedback and give it due consideration...the question is...who is waiting to buy the basic Kindle format to help me build the case?

Update on the formats point raised in this thread...

There are now 3 formats available for the book as follows:

Kindle Text Book format (the original one released): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Property-Investo...1430070283

    Older Kindle versions (new): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Property-Investo...=1-1-fkmr0

    Paperback version (new): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Property-Investo...or+toolkit

The explanation for having 2 Kindle formats is that one supports rich graphics, whilst the other does not. The content in each book is identical, so please choose according to preference and device type Smile
