Nicole Bremner on scaling up in 2017

I am an investor, through crowd funding, in one of Nicole's new projects.

It's the first time I have invested in property via crowd funding (though I have invested as a "business angel" previously and have been looking at property projects for a couple of years); the main reason for trusting them with (a little bit of) my money is her profile and interactions and recommendations on here.

It will be interesting to see how it develops.

Rassie thanks for taking the first steps with me. I'm not sure which project you're in but both are great. Of course I'd say that though...

It's our first time doing this so things aren't as smooth from the crowdfunding side as I'd like, our fault not Simple Equity's I'll add. But we're doing our best and future crowd raises will be much smoother from the raise perspective. The property thing we're fine with of course.

Look forward to seeing you on a tour soon Rassie.

Thank you for such an informative and inspiring video Vanessa and Nicole! I have a question for you Nicole if you don't mind as I have just started out in the property world myself and find you a huge inspiration! I am just about to complete my first major refurb on a cottage in the SW with around 100k profit which has been an amazing experience which I will be reinvesting! My question to you is my problem with being 22 years old has been having the trades really on my side, my family is in the trade and I feel I am a people's person, so for the most part it has been great. However I was wondering how you really incentivize your contractors when you were at a stage that you didn't have them on your team as JV partners? For future projects I want them keen to work for me all the time, but obviously it's always about keeping the costs as low as possible to make the great profit! I look forward to watching how you progress in the next video! Thank you!
