I have a 1970's Ground Floor, one bed flat in Tottenham, N.London which i have rented out for
out for the past 15 years. There has always been a small bit of mould on the bedroom wall which is an external wall but since this new tenant moved in 10 months the mould has got much worse and in one corner of the wall is saturated. Ive had the council's own surveyor look at it but he claims its just needs ventilation. I did point out to him that the external ground is higher than the bedroom floor, only by about 50mm, and i wondered if this was an issue but he said no. The Flat has a redundant car park underneath and you do have come up four steps from street level to the communal area. Also, there is a concrete plinth up against the outside brick and i thought water maybe getting trapped behind this plinth. Would you have any thoughts on this?.
