    Purchasing Company Van

Sounds like every guy needs a Sharan!

I too have considered buying a company van but have an old MPV - a Seat Alhambra. It is 20 odd years old and rusting a bit but as others have said, fantastic for using as a removals van and mobile skip. Heavy on petrol as all old cars are but a lot better with the seats removed. I was amazed when a guy walked up my drive and offered me £1000 for it. I had always thought it was worth scrap metal value only. I thought about selling but thought I would struggle to find anything to replace it for a £1,000. Apart from council tips treating it as a car, car boot organisers also rate it as a car and not a van.

    Learn Change and Adapt ?????

    Err!!!

    I don't know about you but I don't advertise I am a LL

Therefore if I turn up in my large MPV I am not a LL so no waste licence as I dump all manner of stuff left by tenants etc

Mind you if all you need is a waste licence to be able to use a Transit van then it makes sense to have a waste licence

They are about £180 aren't they?

    Learn Change and Adapt ?????

What are the more van like MPVs from years ago, maybe petrol as well considering the diesel bans that are being introduced.

Ideally I'd like a old MPV with Transit SWB, low roof internal dimensions

What is the nearest an MPV can get to a Transit!?

I recollect the Peugeot 806 and other similar equivalents that I cant exactly remember.

Kia Sedonas are one of the bigger alternative mpvs. I still think the Galaxy/Alhambra/Sharan is a tough act to follow. Maybe get some roof bars fitted for longer bits. Galaxy's seem to come with roof rails, the others don't?

How many Pug 806/Citroen equivalents do you still see around? Dodgy electrics has killed them off.

Petrol transits are very rare and very rusty!
