Rent to Rent SA deals - warning!

Honestly, I can't understand why people don't do extensive due diligence before being seduced by these 'deals'. In London particularly there has long been a 90-day limit on Airbnb and most blocks don't allow short rentals re the disruption to long-term tenants/owners.

And HMO potential would clearly need to be checked re the area...I worry that people can be so susceptible.

I hope you will have a case against these guys if they really didn't warn you or give you the right information but am slightly concerned that you may find it was your responsibility to check etc. Good luck!

Thanks - lesson learnt for my life it is first time I ever lost money to such *moderator content removed*. The sales guy was so nice to explain how it works (*moderator content removed*) and they said to me multiple times it is going to be shortlet on Airbnb and booking.com and they are landlords.

They even signed an agreement as landlord where is legally they have no power to do so. They listed properties on Airbnb and booking.com and the guests arrived. I have CCTV footages of it and the evidence of the system they setup to report to me the income on these properties (See below photo)

Their associate called Etim@Skyvillion Ltd listed the apartments on Airbnb and booking.com and send me email reports, I have evidence of it all, the 251 building concierge are the witness and see the image below ( I removed the guest names due to data protection but I have the actual proof Wink:

Sounds like you were a victim of a sophisticated scam, assume that today you would be much more sceptical! If there is any real chance of getting your money back I wish you well. We are all susceptible to very charming people who appear to have all the documentation etc.

Think it's crucial one always involves a solicitor when considering such deals
