    Risks of buying re-possessed property?

    I used a tried and tested method - Rightmove!

    There is no magic formula. Sometimes you can tell from the photos that it is a repo as there are some giveaway signs, other times you just need to do a viewing and find out as much information as you can from the agent.

    Twice the repo came with a sitting tenant, and most purchasers (especially people looking for a home as opposed to landlords) will not want the bother of buying with a sitting tenant, so it reduces the market and it means offers can be made.
