    Room temperature in HMO bedrooms

I also use Time-o-Stat, the issue for me is not so much about the room temperature when they are in but avoiding the heating being on when nobody is in the house.

If the system is run by a programmable timer they never switch it off when their going away or out for a Day / Evening. Also I found if it's too hot they open windows rather than turn the heating down.

Because Time-O-Stat requires a positive action by them to turn it on (every 2hrs in my case) if you want this could be every hour. If they are warm enough they forget to turn it on.

My focus has been more to reduce my gas bills than to control the temperature, because the tenants control the temperature they have never complained or even mentioned about the need to keep turning the heating on. My bills have reduced by between 25-30% and I don't have to do or monitor a thing.
