    S24 discourages landlord expansion - £50K cap

Are there other businesses where turnover is taxed?

Do a search for s24 and you will find several very long threads from a couple of years ago.

    SPOILER ALERT!

Nothing was resolved at the end of them other than that the Govt are a bunch of meanies!

Already have - my conclusion - pretty disappointing that the LL have no voice and no real influence = soft targets.

A majority of businesses (especially small) will struggle to thrive / survive the unexpected (irrespective of industry) - especially when basic fundamentals of business are reshaped - I don't see why PRS should be an exception, it isn't.

Only weak businesses can't survive change.

60% LTV and a double fig yield if invested in your own name is a formula which will work

anything less and Landlords will have a problem

    The answer is No

Personal BTL is treated very different from any other UK business

and for that reason Govt can change the rules at the drop of a hat

I have always said s24 Part Two is a strong possibility because we are not a Business in the eyes of HMRC if your investing in your own name

I think there is less chance of Tax Changes for Ltd Co other than Corporation tax may well rise if Labour come to power

we all trade in property because the tax system allows it and what is given can be taken away
