    Tyre Kickers?

    I see it differently

I wouldn`t want to asses them either way at that point as there is so little info

A detailed opening post may just as much belong to a tyre kicker too

They may put tons of info in there but may in fact suffer from analysis paralysis and never buy

Take cars - I know next to nothing about cars but kinda think I want an SUV so I might look at a car forum which has an overwhelming amount of exacting detail on it delivered by dozens of enthusiast members who know there stuff inside out . I would feel maybe a bit nervous and intimidated maybe and not knowing where to start just throw out a bland non contentious opening question like

` Which SUV is best `

Then I would be indulged hopefully with a few probing questions to start narrowing down the choices available to me . Its a lazy question i agree but i may still be intent on buying an  SUV when my eyes have been opened as to the pros and cons of various models . If though at the outset I was told I was a tyre kicker because I simply and innocently asked - Which SUV is best  - i would be inclined to a bit miffed at my negative reception and leave that site well alone.

I do agree however if I ask a question and then not to come back with even just a simply thank you within say a week that could be considered  discourteous

my nephew has a q7, he picks me up most saturdays to go for breakfast, beautiful piece of kit, however quite expensive compared to our scooby, if money was no object the auddi everytime, if you want value for money the scooby ticks a lot of boxes

Thank you - And yes you hit the nail on the head . Beauty v Value

That`s the psychological dilemma for me . The Q7 is full of botox

I cant seem to get my wallet out for ( perceived ) beauty , as to me  its a trick of the mind

I want to, I can afford to but I just cant`. I freeze when push comes to shove

I blame my parents for always having old cars ...I cant break the cycle it seems

    My children are the same

I`m locked in a seemingly  endless cycle of wing mirrors held together with sticky tape!

I am tempted to go for a pickup next.

The tax benefit, twin cab means normal use as well and the back end space to throw anything inside: ideal for a hands on landlord

They'll love you each time you turn up to your local tip in a pick up!

Estate cars are the way forward (VW Passat nudge nudge wink wink) ;->

Had a Skoda Octavia Estate, great car. But not as rugged as a pickup. The men at the tip don't mind pickups, they're exempt from paying the charges that Van's have to. Win win

I have had people come to me saying they would like to learn how to play tennis. They have no idea yet that I need to know their background and they need to have an idea of a target to attain etc. Each layer of questions brings more answers and also more questions.
I would have been one of the 'tyre kickers' as I didn't know what questions to ask a short time ago, I still don't compared to more experienced LLs.

Yes but did they say they wanted to learn tennis and join your club  so they could close it down

or make your fees higher to play Tennis
