Using Google adwords/search tactics to sell

Has anyone used adwords or a website such as search engine easy to attract more investors when selling buy to let's?

I'd be interested in your experience and whether you'd recommend it or not.

    Thanks

We're using adwords to target landlords as well as bing and LinkedIn - we have found Bing to have a better response than Google ad words.

Plus they're (Bing) are offering £200 free to sign up. Google offers 75.

LinkedIn is pants so far (probably over targeting so it's my fault) but they gave me £50 ad credit

I would hazard a guess at saying that it would be a futile task.

You would be competeing with the online property portals and estate agents on every keyword.

It would be hard to compete.

I have also thought about this but guessed the keywords would be same as most local estate agents so could be a waste of time?

I was thinking a more specific approach could be through facebook ads as you can target people a lot more accurately (job title, area, interests), has anyone tried this?
