David Duckworth gone missing?

Post: #171

This thread has been a mis-terrible use of a forum.

Yet again I'm reminded that a certain amount (and I will up hold that it only is a certain amount of "conversations" end up in a "witch hunt") - this is nothing more than a tyrannical abuse of the technology at hand.

This  so called "lynch mob" that Howard refers to needs to CALM DOWN. I will not accept a forum that is there just for people to have a "pop" incessantly.

I respect the views of all that post (I will mention no names or even avatars) and on that note I will now respect my own. This thread has had enough.

If you wish to carry on a conversation about any topic that has taken place within this post, then thats fine. However, please (PLEASE) don't force me to have to step in, I have a huge pile of my own work to deal with.

Thank you, and I'm sorry that I've had o step in.

N

RE: David Duckworth gone missing?

Hi All

Last year when David Duckworth went missing, apparently I was another one of his victims who lost money as he never bothered to offer the services he promised.

I have chased him on numerous occasions and in the end I had to file a case against him. Initially the court case was scheduled for 17 August at Croydon Crown Court however, just a couple days before the hearing; Croydon C C called me to say that the case has been vacated as the defendant (David Duckworth) would like it near his home.

I recently received a letter from Cambridge Crown Court to advise me on the new date which is now scheduled for Thursday 20 September 2012.

I really appreciate if anyone could write a few words regarding their bad experience with David Duckworth and how much it cost them.

Furthermore, is there anyone who is aware whether any disgruntled customers complained about David Duckworth to the local trading standards office and if so who they complained to and if they have any record. It would also be helpful if they are able to advise the name of the local trading standard office in case I need to contact for more information before Thursday 20 September 2012.

Thanks

Kind regards

Chand Bedi

I don't know if this is any use but I trailed through some old PTC posts, found a twitter account with his mug shot on it, and linked him to this website with a telephone number on it.

I just wanted to say that I have more than sufficient evidence and witnesses for tomorrow. Thanks for all your help.

RE: David Duckworth gone missing?

After all that pallava, all the preparations and the waiting David D. didn't turn up!

It has been a complete waste of time and really frustrating! I am going to have to think about it what to do now, whether I drop it, request for another date for hearing or write to him directly. I think in this situation the court is in my favour, however, I was told that if I wanted to pursue this then I will have to request for another date. The court goes by evidence, but if he defends himself then he would have to provide his evidence or argument. His argument is that his company has folded and therefore he doesn't have any money to pay back. On the other hand my argument is directly with him!

My family thinks I should drop it; it's a waste of time. Even if I wrote to him to his home address, what chance is there that he will reply? I guess I am quite lucky that I didn't loose big amount. I just wanted to teach him a lesson that he can't treat people like that! I'll see how my mood goes.

Thanks for all your efforts and support.

Regards

Chand

RE: David Duckworth gone missing?

Hi Chand,

Thanks for the update that DD did not turn up.

I know how frustrated you must feel.

On the one hand you think "stuff it" and move on ... on the other hand you want to make him accountable for what he did.

My personal view is to take it on the chin, and invest your energies and time in something you do have to control.

Any of these wealth creation gurus who go pop have to live with their own integrity - or lack of - and to my mind that is punishment indeed.
