I've been using a piece of freeware called Sweethome3D which is quite good - I'm attaching a floorplan that I did with it recently. Unfortunately, though,I haven't found a way of doing curved bay windows (the bays on the attached picture are just walls!) or the upstairs part of a staircase. Will definitely give Roomsketcher a try too!
