    BTL to AST to SA/HMO

So with a BTL mortgage you have to use ASTs would this be a workaround...

So say you have a BTL property in LTD Company A (which you own) and you own and you sign an AST for some fixed amount pcm to LTD Company B (which you also own).

Could you then, though LTD Company B, let out the property for short-let serviced accommodation or as a HMO.

I'm not concerned if its ethical or not just if it is legal.

    No.

    1. your mortgage probably prohibits sub-letting

    2. a letting to a company is not an AST

    3. it would still be an HMO anyway which will still be a breach of your mortgage terms
