As a professional project manager and with over 20 years of project management experience in the building and civil engineering industry Roland will share his knowledge which can save you significant time,money and lots of headaches!

• Programming Gantt Charts - How to build, logic link and update your programme. Saw tooth mark up, predecessor, successor relationship and understanding the critical path
• Design/Pre-Construction Work - Pre-construction work; design coordination including scale drawing preparation to assess project feasibility and assist with accurate pricing.
• Risk/Opportunity Management - understand what risk is and how to manage it including who owns the risk!
• Budget Control - simple budget control from project identification right through to completion including initial estimating, ways to pay your builder and managing cash flow.
• Simple Contacts - choosing and using a simple contract between you and your supply chain.
• How to Manage Change - site instructions and managing changes to the original work scope. Keeping records and making sure you get what you want
• Health & Safety During the Construction - Construction (Design & Management) Regulations, what to look for as a client before and during a project, site inspections and making sure everyone goes home safely.
• Works Insurance - make sure your project is covered correctly and your trades are carrying the correct insurance for their works.
• Trade Competence - checking the competence of your supply chain. Questions to ask and answers to expect.
• Project Completion - Guidance and tips on how to manage and track snagging works, completion certificates and warranties to finish the project for sale or refinance.
