EU General Data Protection Regulation Course for PRS Landlords

In response to frequent requests from their members, the Association of Local Landlords (Wessex) are pleased to announce the following EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) course. As far as we are aware, this is the only GDPR course specifically designed for Private Rented Sector (PRS) Landlords.

They are running two of the same courses, you can chose which one best fits into your diary, price is £50 per attendee:

Date: Wednesday 6th June 2018, Time: 13:00 for 13:30 start, or

Date: Tuesday 19th  June, Time 18:30 for 19:00 start

The new EU General Data Protection Regulations are now upon us, all landlords need to understand their responsibilities in meeting these new regulations. The Association of Local Landlords (Wessex) has been working with Vanessa Harrison to provide a course specifically designed to ensure PRS landlords are compliant.

The course will offer:

• Why the new regulations are important
• The main differences between DPA 1998 and GDPR 2018 regulations
• How to proceed with any changes so that you can become compliant with the new regulations (specific to PRS Landlords)
• Practical hints and tips, and the ongoing compliance journey

Vanessa Harrison BA (Hons), CELTA, DELTA, MBA, MSc, is a management systems consultant for information security, business continuity and risk.  She is currently working with clients whose information security systems are being driven by GDPR compliance, as well as being a course writer and associate tutor for the BSI in the EMEA region.  She is also a landlord herself!
