  • LettingFocus Seminar

Great Informed Speakers Coming our November Seminar

We welcome Bill Patel of I-Occupy.co.UK. I saw Bill speak at another property event and was impressed, especially as I know HMOs can be hard work. But it was clear that Bill really knew his stuff and was really making a huge success of this business.

I-Occupy run a successful HMO investment, development and lettings business, based in Luton. From Bill, you will learn loads of tips to help you start in HMOs or further develop an HMO empire. In the presentation, Bill will show you exactly how I-Occupy are doing it and how they have built a portfolio of 1,000 tenancies. I know Bill can answer all your questions on HMOs, including on licensing, planning, investment risks, management and occupancy rates. Don’t miss this.

From the National Landlords Association, we again welcome Richard Blanco. He will give an update on the all the things that have happened since our last event in March, including all the key new regulations that landlords should be aware of. So much is happening, it can be hard to keep up! Let Richard help you stay in touch.

It must be a Patel night! I’m delighted to have a second Patel and old friend, Mittul Patel (no relation to Bill!) come to speak. Mittul runs IPropertyServices.net, a hugely respected lettings and property management services business.

Mittul has been to many of my events and we got on well, not least because I could see his approach to finding and managing tenants is a gold standard that other letting agents would do well to copy. His talk will show you how to get great tenants on every let. He will explain the referencing process used by IPropertyServices which enables them to pick out the good tenants and avoid the duff ones.

We also have Nicole Bremner of East-Eight.com coming to speak. Nicole works with joint venture investors and her own team of experts to develop, renovate and refurbish commercial and residential property to a high end specification, before either selling or letting them. She will explain how she does this.

Nicole comes highly recommended. Don’t miss this.

Tell People What You Offer or What Help You Want

At the events we always run a new special session, where any attendee can stand up for up to 40 seconds and tell attendees who they are, what they offer or what they are looking for – this might be to find property in a certain area, a sourcing service, insurance services – it does not matter. Each person is kept to strictly 40 seconds.

These are small events and very informal. The accent is on networking and learning about buying and letting residential property and the business of buy to let plus the practicalities of being a successful landlord from leading experts.

There are short breaks between speakers which gives attendees a great opportunity to ask me and also our speakers questions and to learn from and share knowledge with other attendees.

The events are designed to suit new and very experienced landlords alike as well as those thinking of getting into the business of being a landlord for the first time too.

As usual with our seminars, you’ll get factual and useful information – there will be no exhortations to achieve “financial freedom” in just a year or two and no one will be “going on a journey”.

    HOW TO REGISTER:

You will need to first register to come to this evening, all you need to do is email me at [email protected] which will open a page to send an email to me. (Sorry, we have a problem with our Contact Page right now!)
