As a landlord, you have a legal obligation to ensure all installations for the supply of electricity in the properties you let are safe at the beginning of a tenancy and maintained in a safe condition for its duration, as specified in the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985.

If the electrics in your property are unsafe, it could lead to an electrical fire, electric shock or electrocution. This course will provide expert advice to help you avoid these risks and their associated costs.

You will gain valuable insights into basic electrical awareness, Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) to help you better understand and meet your duty of care. Upon completion you will have the knowledge and confidence to ensure electrical safety best practice is followed in your properties. This will help you to keep your tenants safe and comply with your legal obligations.
