  • Buy-to-Let

Call to arms - we need you!

    @ western promise

The idea that 4 evicted tenants will not be homeless because they will be the buyers is fanciful

There are buyers who are not currently renting

They are still at Mum and Dad's!!

So they will buy and then there will be 4 homeless tenants

They will then be competing with the floods of new tenant prospects that are entering the UK at a rate of about 350000 per year

Most want to rent in the South

This must increase pressure on rents irrespective of the leverage position of any LL

I consider it most likely that tenants will be forced to pay the Tenant Tax like it or not

It won't be as if they will have any choice!

There is simply insufficient supply for the never ending demand!!

Sole trader LL just need to increase their resilience mostly achieved by increasing rents

Do this every year and eventually the resources will be there to pay for the C24 taxes

That is what I am doing

No way is dopey Osborne is forcing me out of business

It will be my tenants that pay the taxes and consequently keep me in business!!!

Personally I wouldn't rely on the HB market

The price cap has been imposed by Govt and isn't worth maintaining

Being in a market where it is impossible to increase rents annually inevitability means exiting the HB market or selling those HB type properties and buying where non HB tenants could be sourced

If that means millions of homeless HB tenants, who cares that is not the LL problem

    Osborne will have caused it!

They are talking about putting asylum seekers in army camps

Well the feckless lazy welfare scrounger now homeless can be put there as well!!!

Those who can't be arsed to work which funnily enough millions of immigrants don't seem to have any problem finding can live on army camps if they can't be bothered to work

It won't cost £23000 to house a HB family in an army camp

This will release those properties for buyers

For too long the feckless have lived life high on the hog without any requirement to work

    Things need to change!

So even though C24 will be a pain I believe most tenants will afford it cos they will have little choice and will pay the increased rents demanded by sole trader LL
