Coyne Group - calling distressed investors

I've posted requesting HELP from other Coyne Group members that have lost money or cannot get it back.

Financial circumstances have changed and I would like to chat to other members in confidence that have lost money or cannot seem to get an honest answer from Mike Coyne as Robin has left and hopefully share costs for professional help.

    Hi Jane,

In your other post you say that you have potentially lost £100K.  That is a very significant amount of money.  Have you contacted your local Trading Standards as a starting point?

    Hi Vanessa,

I was hoping to take advice from other experts. Do you think that Trading Standards would listen?

Thank you Vanessa this is really making my life difficult.

You should try every route of redress including ActionFraud and possibly even the police, if you believe that your money has essentially been stolen.

What did you pay £100K for?

You should also seek legal advice and Property Tribes' partner, Anthony Gold Law, have a specialist in this type of litigation who won a landmark case for 100 PT members in a class action a couple of years ago.

His name is Clifford Tibber and you should drop him a line at Clifford.Tibber@anthonygold.co.uk to ask if he thinks he can help you.  He will want to review your contract, and will make a charge for that, but I think it is essential that you understand your legal position here.

If anyone can help you, Cliff can.

Small first steps, but some guidance and support. You are amazing Vanessa, I wish I had known about your site years ago.

Thank you and I will contact you once I have emailed Cliff.

Property Tribes has been here supporting landlords and investors for 10 years, and, as you know from the other thread, we warned about Coyne Group as far back as October 2017.

Yes, email Cliff your original contract and ask him to take a look over it to see if he can identify any routes of redress for you.  If you gather other distressed investors, send them to Cliff as well ... there is strength in numbers and the more of you there are, the more your costs will be reduced.

I have emailed Cliff the links to the Coyne threads and said you may be contacting him, so he will have some idea of what this is all about.

Good luck and let me know how you get on.

Thank you so much Vanessa I feel that finally I have a voice and hopefully as you say, strength in numbers may help us all get some money back. Thank you for emailing Cliff and I will send my documents on my return from Ireland.

I will keep you posted for sure.

    Jane.

Good Morning, I am the Compliance Manager for the Coyne Group. I am sorry to hear that you are struggling to contact us as our email, postal address and tel no' are all available on our website of which is live, current and correct. (You are not allowed to post website links on this forum but a simple web search on Coyne Group can easily reach it)

I welcome you to contact me directly please as we have a company complaint policy in place. We are an established company with over 10 exciting property development investment opportunities currently live and many investors that we talk to on a daily basis. Mike Coyne & I would welcome the opportunity to investigate this and assist you but following a search on our database for current and past investors - can find no records of your details (Jane Parks). Please can you get in touch so we can firstly verify you and then look to assist you.

    Many Thanks

Lloyd Ayers (Compliance Manager - Coyne Group)

    Hi Lloyd,

Thank you for joining the conversation and your offer of assistance.  It is known to the moderator that the original poster is using her maiden name, not the name they may have invested with you under.

Most people only tend to resort to social media as a last resort and once they have exhausted all other avenues, and we have other threads featuring unhappy Coyne Group investors, so it seems that there might be an issue with investor communications at your end.

While you are here, could you please advise what happened to your crowdfunding pitch on Simplecrowdfunding platform?  Did you raise £900K via this method?
