    Do landlords need "business" car insurance?

    I have always declared my occupation as a landlord renting-out property.

    I was recently offered a re-quote on my motorbike insurance because the premium had jumped.

    The broker told me that if I dropped business cover my premium would be considerably less.

    As my properties are all within 100 yards of each other, I asked if I could just have cover for travel to and from one place of work - and that did the trick!

    The Major Problem anyone will have is when they come to claim;

    Q; Where were you going when the accident happened?

    A: To one of my Rental Properties

    Ah I see, I notice you only have SDP on your Policy, therefore you are not covered for this accident as your Insurance is Invalid

    Talk to a Good Broker, explain what you do, they can then advise on the Correct Cover.
