Martin Roberts "3 Day Course" - any thoughts?

Before going on any course watch a video on YouTube called the the contrepreneur.

I have been to a couple of free courses. They both tried to upsell very expensive courses. When I speak to people who have been on the courses they are not even as knowledgeable as me. All the information you need can be obtained from books and the internet FOC or very low cost IMO.

And I'll add my 2 pence and agree with the above sentiments, stay away and avoid

One way they try and make you psychologically doubt yourself is by saying something like

'you wouldn't turn up one Monday morning and decide to be a GP with no training would you?'

Well, 99.9% would obviously say NO. But investing in property is not being a GP and it's not as hard as that! Yes it's hard work and it's on going but not to the tune of these outfits wanting 20k or some villa retreat rubbish.

My question back to them regards the need for training is quite simple, show me your own successes and case studies as a starter for 10! Phone line goes dead.

I would recommend The Complete Guide to Property Investment: How to survive & thrive in the new world of buy-to-let https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0993497209/r...bDbRDPYD1W

Simple to read and very informative. I am using the Direct Debit tip to collect my rent.

Disclaimer: I have no legal expertise nor am I a qualified advisor on any subject. A humble landlord using an open forum to exchange ideas and experiences.

I did a 3 day course with Fielding Financial and Gill Fielding. She mentioned Martin Roberts and said she taught him or something like that. I went as a total noob but was prepared for an upsell to the next course. The whole 3 day course only cost £97 though. In fairness I would have paid up to around £500 for it as it taught me a lot. That being said, all of the information is available online.
