    Should landlord allow a dog?

We have one good dog at a place now and she's clean, small and good, tenants are great and we feel they will probably be more likely to stay indefinitely because we allow the dog when most landlords don't. BUT generally we don't allow cats or dogs because of fleas and smell on carpets. Have needed to replace every carpet in 2 houses in the past because of dogs. Even with the clean little dog, we have noticed when we have been there doing DIY when they are away on holiday, the house smells great on day one but smells very doggy by the end of the week as the air fresheners wear off!

What if you didn't have carpets, is that more suitable for pet owners?

As with humans check out the dog and then decide

Young pup with an aggressive nature who will bark 24/7 annoying the neighbours and rip your carpets up

    or

Mature friendly quiet lovable Labrador who you barely notice as it sleeps in the corner 24/7
