    Bank Signature Forgery Campaign

An influential group of MPs is inviting people to send in photos of the bank signature on any bank documents they have received. The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Fair Business Banking is supporting the Bank Signature Forgery Campaign which is gathering evidence of alleged forged bank signatures on banks court documents in cases against business and personal customers.

A spokesman for the Campaign said “We are increasingly receiving photos of bank signatures on letters and deeds regarding the appointment of LPA receivers signed in the name of various bank people. When we compared the signatures signed in the name of same bank person or representative, we discovered multiple examples where the signatures signed in the same name appeared to be different. Our concern is that there may be many more examples of suspect bank signatures on letters and deeds regarding the appointment of LPA receivers as well as other bank documents including claim forms, witness statements, loan agreements etc. We would therefore invite anyone who has received a document from any bank to send in a photo or photocopy of the signature of the bank person or representative to the Campaign”

The four signatures in this image were all signed in the name of the same person on the same day under statements of truth and resulted in multiple people being evicted from their homes.

The industrial-scale forgery of signatures on banks’ court documents in cases against customers has already been investigated in the USA by all 50 state Attorney Generals, resulting in penalty payments by banks of $25 billion and the review of 4 million court cases by banks against customers. In Australia, the Royal Commission also found that bank signature forgery was occurring at a number of banks.

In the UK, the All Party Parliamentary Group on Fair Business Banking is supporting the Bank Signature Forgery Campaign and has just written to the Treasury Select Committee requesting an immediate inquiry into bank signature forgery Last week the BBC also ran a story on the front page of the BBC News website on bank signature forgery.

You can send the photos or photocopies of the bank signatures to the Campaign:
