    Boxing for gas pipe

Following on from another thread I am having a rethink.

We just had a new boiler fitted that needed a new gas feed which runs against the front of the house, including under the front door. Its clipped to the wall but the plumber recommends boxing it in near the door so it doesn't get kicked etc.

I was thinking of extending the front door step to bury the gas pipe but have realised (thank you) that there are loads of rules about pipes in concrete and also the height of front door steps.

So I am trying to go for a simple option.

Are their good strong, legal boxing/ ducting products that we could simply fix over the pipe so it doesn't get kicked? Or do we not need to do anything?.

(*Moderator addition - previous thread on this topic Gas pipe in concrete *).

    Hi Joe,

Do these protect the pipe or are they just decorative? i'm worried about if the pipe got kicked by accident?
