  • London Property Market

BTL in West London areas 2020-2030

I'm a landlord in the West Country, and property investment is great here, long may it continue. I'm keen in future to get some property investment exposure in the London Property Market. I'm interested in safe, family, regular, min. 3 bedroom properties.  I've lived in London for five years in a past life, and my initial research has led me to the Hayes and surrounding areas being close to the M4, Heathrow, Crossrail, etc. I'm looking for a long term investment at least until 2030. I appreciate no one has a crystal ball, but is anyone investing in the area or surrounding areas? Do you get a reasonable return? Are you banking on capital growth? What is your experience? Feel free to PM me if you want to keep the conversation private.

I've looked at Hayes and for me the yields are poor and the tenant risk high. I do however believe for long term capital growth there is still scope if you buy right.

Thanks @imiS. I came to a similar conclusion when looking at entry level areas in London. For long term capital growth, difficult to beat London.

an eleven year time span is just not long enough

The turmoil in the UK and the SE could effect Capital growth in a large way in the SE

I think 20 years is a much more realistic time span

we have lots of Ifs and Buts in the UK at present and the SE will be effected more than most

    Hi Networking,

How have you got on in your search? Are you still looking to invest in the Hayes area and what type of property are you looking to invest in?
