    Buy to sell

Hi everyone,  please can you help me with this question.  When one is buying property to refurb and sell on. What type of stamp duty tax will one pay when he or she does not have property in his  own name  but have in trust (deed of trust). Thanks in advance

Hi, it is just a basic deed of trust where the property is purchase in one of the partners name and the other persons name is added to deed of trust which shows  the % of ownership. Thanks

being a beneficial owner under a bare trust counts as property ownership

is their share worth more than £40k?
