II attended a Landlord Conference and we had a presentation from British Gas about Grants
To cut a long story short the deal was this?
If you have a property with Electric Central Heating and your Tenant has an income less than 20k a year
You can have a full new Gas Central Heating for Zero Cost
I gave the info to the Tenants and long story short I have had 10 new central heating systems for Zero Cost
The System included new mains and a top rate Combo boilers
Its been a great job and as you can imagine I am over the moon
I received a letter today from the Council outlining what had been done and the cost of each system in Euros
each system cost around 3500 Euros
Im not being asked for a payment but there is a statement saying
You must declare this amount in future to any aid awarding body for the purpose of De Minimis Aid Regulation and you must keep
this letter for ten years from the date on the letter and I may have to produce it as requested by the UK Public Authorities or the European Commission
Have my tenants been given a European grant the total amount is 35000 euros and it was all for nothing
so all my tenants who did this for me get a months rent free
Learn Change and Adapt ?????
Sounds like you'll be one of the last ones to get those grants thanks to Brexit DL
I did not know it was Europe money until I got the letter from the Local Council today and I did not have a clue what the cost was ??
Whatever it was it sounds like you got a major result!
it was good its nice to have some good news dom and it offsets the costs I have had to do the landlord shuffle
have a good weekend
" As small amounts of aid are unlikely to distort competition, a useful approved EU mechanism for State aid is the industrial de minimis regulation which allows small amounts of aid i.e. less than €200,000 over 3 consecutive fiscal years, to a single undertaking for a wide range of purposes. "
It looks to me that they want you to keep the documentation in the event there is issues with "State Aid" as such as the EU stepping in and telling them/you off for assisting...
Though.. no idea.
