    Conveyancer to undertake sale of land

    OUR NEIGHBOUR WISHES TO PURCHASE A PIECE OF OUR GARDEN APROXIMATELY 20 X 30MTRS AND WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFORMATION ON A CONVEYANCER FOR THIS THAT DOES NOT COST THE EARTH, THANKS

    If the neighbour wants to buy the land then make paying your costs part of the deal so you get what you want for the land and they have to pay your costs.

    As we do not know the lay out of your garden it is difficult to comment. But usually I would be very careful with such deals as it could well cause you problems down the road. What do they want to do with the extra land build a shed,. garage, work shop for fixing cars etc.Also take into consideration the effect on your property - will it hinder future sale prospects depending upon what they do with the land. I have seen this before and it has caused no end of hassle further down the road.Any good local solicitor can do this just get some quotes. Also ask advice on putting on covenants regarding use of the land. ex for garden use only not building outhouses. You could find yourself looking at some massive garden room with light infringement to your garden.
