Corbyn to target parents who help their kids

This will come as a huge blow to any of you who had hoped to help your children...

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is planning a tax raid on 'unearned income' by targeting parents who help their children onto the housing ladder.

He wants to scrap inheritance tax and instead introduce a policy of 'lifetime gifts' which would cover cash or homes given to children over the course of their lives.

The radical policy is contained in a document Land for the Many which has been written by environmental campaigner George Monbiot.

Feel gutted. My late husband worked 3 jobs to buy property which eventually became his full time job. After he passed away at a very early age he was confident that me and my girls would be looked after well. How dare Corbyn!

Be  under  no illusion this man and his policy's are a great danger to us all

There has never been a more important election than the next one

anyone who has worked hard saved for a home or elsewhere will be raped by Corbyn

I personalty dont think he will win

But to stop Corbyn its going to need a Tory party that starts listening to it core supported ie the Wealth makers ...

    This is my current dilemma.

I would vote Tory in a heartbeat, but also wish for the UK to remain in the EU (as that’s what is best for the UK housing market). But with the hard Brexiteers at the helm of the Tories, I’m stuck voting for the Lib Dem’s and hoping they form a coalition with Labour (where it’s enough to keep us in the EU, but a possible check on the wilder/anti-business Corbyn policies).

A coalition Govt. is what would work best for this country, as long as Labour isn't in the majority!

I think its the wrong approach. For the EU to really work in the long term everything needs to be more integrated. Brexit has the country at an impasse. To sort this out, the UK should leave as per the referendum. Then a campaign to rejoin the EU and implementing the euro can begin. You really cannot have folks having their own currencies if its going to work in the long run. If you are not prepared for more integration, then I'm afriad it's probably better to be outside of it, for the good of their project and the UK, which will be free to pursue its own destiny.

It then depends how many of the electorate are content for UK to become - over time - a vassal state of a federalised Europe with a common currency/fiscal system.

I really do wish the hard Brexiteers were at the helm of the Tory party as the result of referendum would have been implemented by now and my faith in democracy restored !
Instead it’s been a Remain PM and a Remain Chancellor along with many other Remainers sat in the cabinet the back benches and especially the Lords .
Regarding Brexit being bad for the housing market it may be the case or may be the total opposite but one thing is for sure is I’m not going to listen to any of the so called experts ie the same ones who predicted the whole country was going to collapsed well before now if we peasants dared to vote Leave .

Again Labour raiding the better off, nothing new as we had tax on unearned income before.

This is the least of our worries if Corbyn gets in.
