Am I the only one who finds it confusing / annoying that the posts on a thread are not in chronological order?
Property Tribes is formatted in the same way as Facebook.
Replies to a specific post are "nested" underneath that post so that the individual conversations can be followed.

It was so much easier with computers in 1973 when I started.......
I agree, it's much harder and worse than the "quotes" function on the old version of Property Tribes.
Facebook is different as it's threads don't have multiple pages and you keep scrolling down.
That said, this forum is a FREE resource, so we get what we pay for!
Thanks for mentioning that John. I will ask the developers if we could put the threads on an "infinity" roll, rather than having pages. Good suggestion!
Be interesting to see if that's a possible solution, the downside may be that some threads on here go back years and are typically much longer than the average Facebook string, so the infinity roll may result in scrolling down for ages before seeing more current comments.
Just adding this point so the Devs can ponder it!
Most threads tend to burn out before 5 pages or so, so I can't see the infinity scroll being too much of a problem?
I disagree, if you think about some of the busier threads such as Crowd funding, Glenn A, etc. etc. you'll see what I mean.
I do like the idea.
A key feature would be to be able to link to a single post in an infinite scroll. Dont want a notification of a post, then have to dig through and find it. Rather than it taking you direct to the new post.

I raised this issue when the design was first launched.
A status update on facebook is not the same as a new post on property tribes. They are 2 different websites with different interactions.
A new thread warrants discussion and sometimes on here nested discussions tend to go off tangent at times. A forum website should always feature posts in chronological order, that is simply good practice for a forum website.
You should still have the ability to reply to previous comments though, but via a new post at the bottom of the page.
I.e. bring back "Quotes".
I may start a petition!!!!!
