Farage put on the BTL spot by Fergus Wilson

Fergus Wilson has written to Nigel Farage and put him on the spot:

If the Brexit Party is swept into power at the next General Election will it restore Landlord Tax to the previous Headline Rate and put Capital Gains Tax (CGT) down to a flat 10% for everyone?

If Nigel Farage is swept into power at the next General Election I suspect we'll have much bigger problems than tax.

I don't think we'd be taxed higher, I just think Nigel Farage in power would be a nightmare scenario. The guy is an absolute cretin who has no policies what so ever but just stands on the sidelines in-sighting hatred and promoting ideas that are either damaging or impossible all safe in the knowledge he will never be responsible for implementing them. He's a stain on our country and if he ever got into power I would want to immediately sell up and leave these shores.

    Agree with you.

I am already selling up anyway, but a nightmarish scenario of Farage as PM would see my exit faster than speed of light.

Give him his due, he knows how to press the right emotional buttons to get his message to resonate, and capitalise on the disenfranchised for his own political gain. I have seen the result of his incitement of hatred against immigrants (of which I proudly count myself as one), and I would definitely not want to continue to live here. Earlier on this week, hubby and I were discussing where we would go if the political crises worsened - no decision made yet.

Farage took a stand and left UKIP when Gerard Batten turned it into an anti immigrant party.

    Tumi,

How are you? Where are your properties that you are selling?

I think the chances of him becoming a PM are slim

But I think there will be no out right winner at the next election

so i think we will have a coalition and thats where Farages party could come to power with the Conservatives when they sort out there

    leader

I would rather have Farage than Corbyn any day

I wouldn't, I would rather Corbyn any day of the week. Putting aside our own self interest as landlords, someone like Farage in a leadership position would be dangerous and terrifying. His entire platform is based on blaming others for the countries problems, real echoes of Hitler in that. He has no solutions, that is why he has no policies, except of course ones he had been pressed on in interviews like privatising the NHS.

Could you link to a source for where he's done so?

Agreeing with the River of Blood speech?

The there was this incredibly emotive propaganda poster that was an absolute lie: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/201...f-migrants

Farage - "The opening of the doors to 29 million Romanians and Bulgarians is going to become a huge issue."

Farage - “I was asked if a group of Romanian men moved in next to you, would you be concerned? And if you lived in London, I think you would be,” he told LBC radio during an interview. Asked whether he would also object to living next to German children, he said: “You know the difference.”

The entire position of his party is that the EU are responsible for our countries woes when it just isn't true, listen to any of his comments on the EU and it falls into a blame game. The economic suffering in this country has come about because of government policy, not the EU.

His party has a single policy, leave the EU. Does anyone know what sort of world Farage would want after accomplishing this? Is it the same world you would want?
