    Learn Change and Adapt ?????

All comments are for casual information purposes only. If you wish to rely on any advice I have given please ensure you obtain independent specialist advice from a third party. No liability is accepted for comments made.

The 25 times expenses rule for the amount of capital to be financially independent works provided you can turn down/off the non essential ie luxury expenditure pump which has its nozzle stuck into your capital - that will suck out your capital at an alarming rate

It’s learning to enjoy more simple things such as nature making things growing thing neutering and continuing education - if these form the back bone of your life then financial independence can be achieved much sooner and almost certainly there will be less anxiety in your life and better relationships with people around you

    Your missing the point

The point I was making is the amount you need to be  financially independent and therefore the earlier you can reach that goal is very much a factor of how much luxury expenditure you need

All I am suggesting is that if you adopt the life I was suggesting you will reach it sooner

On cars for example I do have some very high end cars but in all honesty I have hired a mid range car on holidays and often wondered when driving them whether the difference in having high end cars really worth the money

A definition of rich is the amount by which your resources exceeds your needs - therefore a very fluid figure indeed

What part of "I just think" in my post didn't you understand?

To help you out, in my opinion, their opinion is wrong.

High end cars = high end maintenance, and if you don't buy the right one (I'm assuming outright purchase here), high depreciation!
