    Fire Doors

    Evening folks ,

Does anyone know if the specification for fire doors has changed in the last 20 years ?

I'm looking at a property which was a 6 bed student let in the 90's , it has the fire doors from that era and I was wondering if they would still be compliant for an HMO .I'm sorta think no but a guy can hope Smile

It has changed a fair bit. Take a look at the LACORS fire safety guidance which you can find on the web (try google for it). If your doors are 30 minute fire proof, have automatic closures fitted, and have intumescent seals they will probably be ok. Some local authorities will insist on cold smoke seals.

    Thanks David ,

I didn't think so but it's great to have it confirmed by someone who knows .
